Hey, Its Been a While
It’s been almost two years since the last time I wrote a post for cdenning.com, and A LOT has happened. I mean, I’ve gotten engaged and married (which is really as awesome as they say it is), have a little girl on the way (which is really as unknowably crazy as they say it is), earned two masters degrees, moved all over the place, had some pretty big life changes, and started a job at a church that my wife and I love.
All in all, my life is very different than it was two years ago. The best part: I’ve never been happier!
This blog has always been a place for me to share my thoughts and observations with worship & creative leaders, but I couldn’t find (or maybe wouldn’t create) the margin in my life for writing. However, to be honest, I’ve missed writing and processing my thoughts here. Now that I’m entering this new season of life, I think this is the perfect time to re-launch cdenning.com.
The New cdenning.com
My desire is to use cdenning.com as a place to talk about worship, theology, and technology within the context of a creative arts ministry.
My hope is to find others who are creating great art, crafting engaging services, & leading worship excellently in order to share their best practices with our community.
I’ll be posting here on Tuesdays and Thursdays on worship, leadership, and technology (which could be production stuff, gear, etc). We’ll talk about practical stuff, hopes, and even hear from others who are doing some incredible things in their contexts.
I’ll also be posting on Fridays, which will be a Weekend Preview for my church family at Journey Church. You’ll be able to find links to the songs we’re doing that weekend as well as a short devotional that will prepare you for an engaging weekend at Journey Church.
I hope you find things here that are encouraging, challenging, helpful, and inspiring. I certainly don’t have all answers, and I’m probably more excited to see what you have to contribute and say!
I’d love to share the platform with others, so if you’re interested in guest posting just send out an email to email@example.com.
