I went to see the new Batman flick. There was a lot of hype around it and a lot of people I trust with movies said it was ridiculous.

It did not disappoint. Heath Ledger’s performance was nothing short of perfect. Everything he did, from the way he moved and looked around to the way he laughed, freeking spot on. It was one of the best performances for a Villian that I had seen in a very long time. The story line was really great too. The writers have done a great job of injecting the idea that hope for humanity is still there in all of us into the plot without it being cheesey or overdone. I was completely into the movie the whole time I was watching.

Also, the one thing that I think was done very well was how they effectively got across all the violence that comes with a movie like this without being grotesque or showing you people bleeding out of pencil wounds (if you know what I mean). They leave it to our imaginations to envision what it looked like when the people were hurt or had pencils disappear into them. Very tastefully done and very well done at that.

Just to give you guys a heads up, things are gonna be crazy for about the next week. SB is getting into town in the next hour or so and we are both going down to Florida for Big Stuf with the kids for the week. It’s going to be awesome, but I’m not sure how much time I can be back here. I might be able to sneak a few updates for you guys, or I may be here every day. It’ll depend, really. So, be praying expectantly for the kids to really come face to face with God next week and the leaders for strength and wisdom in guiding the kids. We’re going to have a lot of fun, but it is certainly a long week.

One more thing, don’t forget about the 2nd Super Fun Big Centennial Contest coming up in a few days. Not sure when it’s going to hit, so that’s half the fun. Go here if you don’t know what I’m talking about and to find out the details for the contest. I haven’t even made the question yet, so don’t ask. Cheaters.
