What I have for you this week is maybe one of the most impressive things I have seen a church produce in a while. This is the Bump for our current series PURSUIT which is about the book for Proverbs and pursuing wisdom. The most impressive part? Most of the work was done in house. Everyone who worked and volunteered on this did an amazing job and I’m proud to call most of them friends. Well done guys. Check it out. Please watch this in Full Screen, you’ll thank me later.

Seriously. That was quite possibly the sickest thing I have seen a church put out in a while.
Bravo.
Bravo.
Bravo.
What parts were in house and what parts were outta house?

Now Chris, buddy, you need to change that
Everything was done in house… even the score and your roomie laid down the guitar tracks and reason.
And you beat me to it bro, i was putting this up this morning, ill need to throw something else up i guess.
I can’t believe they let me work for this church and hosting the entire shooting crew at my house for a day
Great post Chris! (do you mind if i throw up a link to my post on Monday with the stats of what was done to pull it off?)

I just found your site through the Creative Chaos over at Ragamuffin Soul.
I can honestly say that is THE BEST series intro I have EVER seen. And I’ve seen a lot of them.
Most series videos are cheesy at best and lack good acting and filming. This video looked like a scene from a prime-time TV show or blockbuster hit.
Hats off to your creative team!! Well done. Thank you for raising the bar on what videos in church should look like.

If you guys would like to learn more about how it was done or the people behind it, Go to http://www.portcitychurch.org and find Evan Vetter, who is in charge of our media department. I only got to witness all of these, but these guys were in the trenches. I’ll be sure to pass along the bravo’s to them.

Let me just say that it was so awesome to be able to be a part of the music side of this thing… I never really imagined we’d be doing something of this caliber in-house. Tracking guitars for something this crazy was a blast!

I have to agree with Paschal, Denning and Tom. Being a part of a community that tries to honor God with their creative talents is truly a privilege. I wasn’t directly involved with this but got to see a lot of the behind the scenes action, which was cool. And since his name hasn’t been mentioned, bravo to Lee Hester for putting together the soundtrack and using his studio to accomplish it. He did all the arrangment, tracking and all the orchestral parts. Check him out at http://www.leehester.com and his studio at http://www.myspace.com/loganmanorstudio.
