45:. Top 5 Lunch Places in Wilmington
February 3rd, 2008 | Published in Entertainment | 5 Comments
Me and Brooks eat lunch together, mostly on fridays. So, we go different places. Here are my top 5 . . .
5. Atlanta Bread Company - Not a big fan of the ALWAYS busy atmosphere, but a great soup and sandwich combo. Always great ingredients and very timely. Super awesome bread.
4. Two Guy’s Grille - Phenomenal philly chicken sub. I dig the environment and it’s a great place to kick back and watch some Sportscenter during the lunch hours.
3. BWW - These guys have a great lunch menu. Very well price and very generous protons. I can’t remember a time that I have had a bad meal here. Love the atmosphere too. Big Screens = Fricken Sick.
2. Flamin’ Amy’s Burrito Barn - HUGE burritos and amazing tastes in the salsas and everything. Also, they have a teriyaki bowl that is awesome for those trying to stay smart about their health, much like myself. I mean, come on, it’s Flamin’ Amy’s for cryin out loud. Just don’t use the bathroom . . . trust me.
1. South College Deli (aka The Best Kept Secret in Wilmington) - Three words: Beef on Weck. This is a little hole-in-the-wall place in a shopping center that may have the best sandwich in town. They have great meats for the sandwiches, fresh baked bread, and the best potato chips in town. A little ranch on the side, come on.
Man I love good food. How about you?

I’d like to add a couple myself…
1. P.T.’s… c’mon, best burger and fries in town… period.
2. Zaxby’s How did this not make the list. The Tradish started here (sort of). Technically, it started at Smithfield’s… but we don’t like to talk about that.

You are so right, I think i’d pop PT’s in front of Atl Bread, and Zaxby’s at #2. Very good additions. How could I forget the Zax?!?

1. My in-law’s, which is where I eat lunch pretty
much every day of the week (Wed. is the
exception)
2. El Cerro Grande - There are debates about
this, but I think this is a great Mexican (or
TexMex) restaurant.
3. Pita Delight - A little change up from the
typical burger joint…
Those are my additions to your list…

Dude, El Cerro, as Tom would agree, is the college kid’s gift. Good food, great price. And i’ve never been to Pita Delight, but i have heard good things, much like this.
